I was born and raised in Michigan, but much to my Wolverine siblings’ dismay, defected to Pennsylvania State University for college. This was followed by medical school at Jefferson Medical College and internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, both in Philadelphia. I continued my journey through the east coast by moving to New York City for a residency in diagnostic radiology, followed by a breast imaging fellowship at Yale University.
I love being a radiologist, specifically a breast imager, because it allows me to pursue a passion for serving in women’s health care and playing a role in the early detection of breast cancer. My personal philosophy regarding being a physician is to treat every patient as if they were a family member and provide the best care possible.
It was in New York that I met my husband, a native Houstonian. He introduced me to Texas and I fell in love with blue skies, sunshine, and friendly people. When I had the opportunity to join Synergy as a dedicated breast imager, I didn’t have to think twice. In my free time, I love exploring Houston’s food scene, museums, and culture with my husband and active toddler Sofia, who is always finding new ways to keep me on my toes!
