Bio: Dr. Garcia-Rojas was born in Laredo, TX and raised crossing countries everyday between Laredo and Nuevo Laredo to visit among friends, family, school, food and culture. Being a “big” Houston Texans fan, he goes to as many games as he can every season. In his spare time, you will find him reading, swimming, learning something new on the computer or catching a good movie. Dr. Garcia-Rojas claims that he “cannot get enough of school!” When his workday is done, he heads down to Rice University to catch classes on economics, data analysis, medical device development plus other topics! As a very visually oriented person, who admires art, architecture and landscapes, the art of medical diagnosis through image perception captured his natural interest and gave him a sense of “being a medical detective, finding subtle meaning among visual clues to determine a diagnosis”.
