It is recommended that women age 40+:

  • Practice self-breast awareness by being familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel and report any changes to a healthcare provider right away*
  • Get an annual breast exam by a health professional*
  • Receive a mammogram once a year, every year, after turning 40*
