The Synergy Clinical Governance Board is honored to announce the establishment of the Eric T. Geibel M.D. Distinguished Service Award. This endowment has been established at the alma mater of our dear colleague, Dr. Eric Geibel who recently passed away from COVID 19, with the hope that his legacy of service will live on. Our intent with the endowment is to continue to honor Dr. Geibel’s memory and acknowledge his many contributions to the Synergy practice, his patients, and the advancement of the field of radiology.

The award will be given to a UTMB resident who exemplifies the best citizenship and who participates in the development of the lower level year residents, through teaching, guidance, support, and overall mentorship. It will be voted upon by the first and second year residents and awarded each year to a graduating fourth year resident. We are expecting to award the first resident at UTMB during graduation this summer.
